Changes to the Badinter Law in France?
20/01/2012The UMP (the ruling party in France) MP Guy Lefrand has proposed changes to the 1985 Badinter Law before the French Sénat. The aim of this proposition is to standardise settlement practices for personal injury claims. The main proposals include:
- To bring up to date the tables for settlement of personal injury claims to form one single document which will encompass the calculation of future losses and income.
- To impose the use of the 'Dintilhac' list with respect to the nomenclature of heads of claim.
We will keep you up to date with any developments with respect to this proposal.
